Abstract
-
This study analyzes language in ECtHR judgments to investigate attitudes towards Syrian refugees during the refugee crisis. By examining keyword usage in fifteen cases across three time periods, it explores the correlation between positive, negative, or neutral language and the Court’s evolving stance on refugees' rights. The research aims to identify a linear shift in vocabulary, shedding light on how the Court's attitudes toward refugees may have changed over time. This analysis fills a gap in existing literature, offering insights into the role of language in reflecting attitudes towards refugee rights protection.
