The Balloon explores the emotional opposition between anxiety and calmness through a soft sculpture composed of denim, plaster bandage, and cement. Inspired by the fragility of balloons, this piece reimagines the playful form as a metaphor for emotional vulnerability. The use of contrasting materials of soft fabrics, juxtaposed with the rigidity of cement, embodies the tension between different inner states. By combining unrelated textures and forms, the sculpture presents a unified yet conflicted object, reflecting the unpredictable, transient nature of emotional states.
The concepts of absence can be found in the very fabric of theatre, performance, and visual art in the crossroads between these genres. Absence is between the concepts that shape our view of the world. Exploring Presence in Absence”, was to take a deeper dive in the concept of being present in an absent state of mind. The ideology of “zoning out” intrigued me, it always was a universal phenomenon. No matter where you are from you have access to that space in your mind, yet that space gets shaped and inspired by time, culture, and personality. In this performance I tried to showcase the space that was moulded in my mind.
As the world burns, four people at a dead-end destroy each other, attempting to fulfill a void, futile and self-indulgent vision of happiness. In an ironic image of entrapment and distress, an inherited normative vision of humanity, we oscillate between the raw and macabre, the comic and the absurd. The Theatre Arts Department Senior Production Practicum employs this text by British playwright Ryan Craig to discuss a sense of doom, as the personal mirrors the political, the individual the collective. The characters exhaust their lives, anticipating meaning to occur, desperately afraid of the meaningless.
A site-specific videotaped performance dedicated to the act of displacement: With a few to almost no personal items and parents displaced from Pontus, he was born in Garefi, moved to Aridaia and then was forced to move alone in many different “playgrounds”, with his final destination to be Athens. He had nothing but valuable memories.
From the island of Chios to Constantinople, with the goal of creating a beautiful life, they were forced to flee to Athens together forever and pack their lives in a suitcase. How can you create a new life from scratch after you have been displaced?
The sea can bring us together and part us away, at the same time. Three displaced people taught me to love the sea no matter what, and not be afraid of it. I grew up with them storytelling their lives to me, and it is my turn to tell their story…

This digital story explores in a very personal way themes of isolation, emotional imprisonment, and the tension between longing for escape and fearing the unknown. Inspired by Pasolini’s Medea, Tracey Emin’s raw artistry, and Cavafy’s poem The Windows, it blends archival material with personal footage to create a deeply introspective visual and auditory experience. Using muted colors, symbolic imagery, and a somber, reflective tone, my project highlights the protagonist’s confinement—both personal and societal. A voice-over narration of Cavafy’s poem gives the the emotional phase and struggle, questioning whether freedom is truly liberating or just another form of constraint.
Between the sea and dreams is a personal journey through memory, identity, and creativity. Through a continuous monologue spoken in Arabic, mixing old footage and quiet moments, the film explores what it means to belong home when home is scattered across different places. Shot in sepia with a nostalgic, grainy texture, it reflects on finding identity beyond borders and paperwork. Creativity becomes both an escape and a way to piece together a fragmented sense of self. Blending documentary and storytelling styles, Between the Sea and Dreams is a poetic process, one shaped by place, language, and the creative act itself.

This study investigates the factors influencing parasocial relationships (PSRs) with social media influencers and how these impact purchase intentions, focusing on Instagram and TikTok. Despite the increasing prominence of influencers in digital spaces, research has yet to fully explore how interpersonal attraction, content style, leadership traits, platform-specific features, and influencer objectification affect PSR formation and strength. Notably, influencer’s objectification and its impact on consumer behavior remains understudied. This thesis addresses these gaps by analyzing influencer-follower dynamics in a competitive online environment, offering insights for marketers, influencers, and scholars in digital communication, marketing strategy, and consumer psychology.
