Once upon a near future, we imagined two Earths. One, dry and broken, shaped by our silence. The other, alive and breathing, shaped by our will to act. Between them stands a figure, part human, part tree, holding the tension of choice. Our painting tells this story, not as a warning, but as a possibility. A future still open, still waiting for us to act, either with care or with ignorance, until the “critical deadline”.
Which future will you choose to live in?

This project is a podcast named “The ministry of Nonsense”. The podcast contains one episode titled “The Economy is Thriving (If You Ignore Reality)” in which two speakers (a Minister and a host) share a “exciting” news to the public. Host’s name is Tweet and Minister’s name is Penny Gone. There are two broader themes: Inflation, which is inspired by Trump’s tariff decision and “Patriot tax” which shapes a promise that never come. Also, the podcast itself served the purpose of revealing the role of media in bureaucracy, while at the same time illustrating a contrast between serious and unserious.
I made a board game, where the objective is to rise through the ranks of power and ultimately “become a dictator”. I based this game on the board game “Snakes and Ladders”, where players roll the die to move along a numbered board, climbing ladders to advance faster and sliding down snakes that set them back. This is the main idea behind my game, except instead of ladders the board had satirical pictures and cartoons of famous dictators and leaders, and “idea lamps”, instead of snakes.
Contemporary works or outlets of political satire, are mainly represented by late night TV shows such as “The Colbert Report” rather than a magazine or newspaper. We wanted to bring back to life influential pieces of political satire such as “A Modest Proposal” or “The Animal Farm” and use them as sources of inspiration to critique the state of global politics today. Satire has the functional capacity to illuminate aspects of social reality that are otherwise unnoticed, and this is what we wanted to achieve with this project. Showcase the absurdity that sometimes characterizes the state of global politics.
The aim of the project is for the players to “play” with modern politics and challenge their perception of things they hear on the news every day. The game works with caricatures cards and caption cards and the players get to choose the caption cards that will accompany the caricature cards. The caricatures are modern politics from all around the word in order for everyone to understand the meaning, while the cards have a political related meaning which is more general in order to match every caricature.
The creative project we created, titled “Power Fragmentation” is a Dada-inspired comical collage art board that explores the progression of psychological ruin of the mind of an undemocratic leader in a therapy session. With the use of fragmented text, surreal unison of cut-out images from magazines, and absurd humor, this creative piece serves as a critique of historically established power structures and the role that paranoia plays in the subjects' lives. In the conceptual therapy session, we take advantage of what is a traditionally serious setting and make it the center stage for exposing an undemocratic ruler losing their mind.
Polyphonic music is one of the most distinctive and ancient musical forms in Europe with Balkans having a very rich tradition of it, especially in rural and mountainous regions. With lyrics created from people based on their everyday life, and orally passed down through generations, Balkan polyphony is a window to Balkans’ history and identity. This project attempts to open this window and allow people to experience this rich tradition of Balkan identity themselves, by interacting with a visual map and watching videos of polyphonic song performances from different places in Balkan countries.
The work to be presented is a card game inspired by encryption and cybersecurity. The players are given a card with an encrypted word, the cypher used to encrypt it and how many points the players get if they decode it. The first team or player to decrypt the word with the help of the cypher key sheet wins the points. The motivation behind the project is that students can understand encryption and cybersecurity while also promoting teamwork and competition.
For my creative project in the Digital Citizenship course I created a painting called “Lost in the World of IoT”. This painting depicts a woman plummeting in a void of various IoT devices. This composition depicts the notion that gadgets, whose initial aim was to aid us, have fully integrated themselves into our lives – an epitome of a digital ecosystem. The proximity of the devices to the woman bestows a feeling of entrapment while the lack of color on the woman (contrasted with the vivid gadgets) further exasperates the idea of absolute disorientation.
