This project was an attempt to use AI to create concept images for a fictional Greek settlement near modern-day Afghanistan. The rationale was to mix and match contrasting pieces of architecture, greco-roman and modern Bauhaus on an area where they do not exist, or ar not usually imagined. It was a process with three stages: creating the landscape, introducing one or two structures of recognisibly Greek origin, and finally adding a settlement. Creatively, this was an exercise in visualising alternate history, while technologically it was to test the limits of what AI could do.
For the creative project, I used Leonardo AI to visually explore the notion of the ‘ideal woman’. Across a progression of 10 images, I contrasted representations of female beauty throughout time. I started with the epitome of divine elegance in Greek mythology – the Goddess Aphrodite – and transitioned towards contemporary ideals fully governed by a digital environment.
The photo album “CITY includes photos of the capital city of Greece, Athens. It contains 13 pages as Greece has 13 regions. There are two sides: on the one side, it has the cover named “Athens-the city of history; When it is being flipped, when “CITY” is upside-down, you will see the other side with a new cover titled “The Edge”. It is named “CITY” because I believe that a city consists of both good and dark sides, one can never ignore and focus only on one side. The work serves as a comparison raised between two totally divided worlds within the same city.
