The work to be presented is a short game I developed as part of the final assignment of the ITC3137 Game Development course. It is a 2D action-adventure platformer in which the player has to explore the in-game environment to upgrade their character, unlock new paths, and unravel the short story inspired by various 80’s/90’s action-adventure games.
ACG Nav is an Augmented Reality (AR) navigation application designed for the American College of Greece campus. Developed for both Android and iOS platforms using Unity and the Vuforia Engine SDK, the app utilizes a smartphone's camera to overlay navigation signals such as AR pathways, arrows, and markers for points of interest on live images of the campus. When a user searches and selects a destination, the app calculates the optimal route and provides step-by-step visual guidance. Its fully offline functionality ensures that navigation remains seamless, even without an internet connection. ACG Nav improves navigational efficiency and demonstrates how advanced technologies can be integrated into an academic setting.
This project focuses on building a browser-based online delivery platform for catering businesses, following the practices of similar apps used in our everyday life. It’s designed for desktop users and allows them to browse restaurants and dishes, place orders, and interact with an AI chatbot to help with orders. The platform also supports search, reviews, and IP-based location detection for quick address setup. Users receive personalized recommendations based on their previous orders and general suggestions based on overall ordering trends.
This website displays the top rated movies from multiple genres. Registered users can log in to rate, comment on, and add movies to a virtual cart. Guests can browse movies but must register to interact. Logged-in users can also view and edit their profiles. Staff users can add or edit movies, while the owner has full control, including the ability to delete movies.

This Thesis explores an adaptive interactive fiction platform which implements personalized interactive storytelling and collaborative problem-solving to support cognitive and social development for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Using large language and diffusion models, the platform creates dynamic, personalized narratives and visuals tailored to specific user needs. Key features include multimodal engagement, customizable narration, adjustable content complexity, and real-time feedback which ensures equitable participation among users. The platform aims to complement traditional therapeutic methods in the holistic development of individuals with IDD.
The effects of video games on players’ psychological experience have been the preferred research focus in the field for the past two decades. Recently, researchers have shifted their attention from the effects of adversity to the embrace of empathy. Narrative-focused video games, specifically, allow players to form an empathetic relationship with the characters of a game. The aim of the present thesis is to provide a comprehensive and unique synthesis of the effects of principal narrative elements on video game players’ experience of empathy. The thesis concludes that perspective-taking, the implementation of narrative techniques, and player immersion are the key factors through which empathy is experienced. Although ludic gameplay is negatively correlated to empathy, it is nevertheless a necessary dimension of video games which, in combination with narrative methods, can be potentially utilized to elicit an empathetic response from players.
The age of Big Technology raises an important societal question: do we have a freedom of personal information that is an inseparable part of our identity in cyber space? My artwork reflects on two major opposite feelings regarding this issue using a bird as the most common symbol of freedom in art. The positive aspect of simplicity and freedom of IoT usage is portrayed in the overall composition: the bird flies away without being disturbed by a bracelet. Smart devices are akin to a mystery box that contains everything about us. Only external forces know how to unlock it. Equipped with the various sensors and connected to a smartphone, IoT devices are fully integrated into people’s and animals’ daily chores. And this also has a negative impact such as data privacy risks depicted in the data leakage metaphor and exposure of different data sheets.

This project entails the design of a specialized Large Language Model (LLM) platform aimed to be ultimately used for enhancing satellite data management and decision-making processes in satellite communications. This project is a subset of the Deree R&D initiative, "SATELLITE NETWORK OF EXPERTS V," which aims to exploit the potential of LLM’s for revolutionizing the processing, interpretation, and capitalization of satellite data. The platform includes a user interface that is interactive in supporting the prompting, augmenting, and testing of the LLMs developed by the Deree R&D initiative. Furthermore, the platform uses a vector-based database to incorporate additional context enhancements to the fine-tuned models.
This project explores some different aspects of the means by which the image and identity of Greece has been projected and gradually developed both internally and externally; particularly through the means of attracting tourist activity in the period of 1945-1990. This project was created as the final assessment of the course PUBLIC HISTORY via the History Department of the American College of Greece during the Spring semester of 2024. It is composed of the following themes: The Government's Role, the Xenia Project, the Local Communities, the Nation Branding through the Eyes of the Greek-American Diaspora and the Greece: Through the Lens of Foreign Film.
